Your quotes and assumptions

Initial amounts are illustrative examples, not insurer quotes. Enter your own written prices, including known fees, for the same policy term. All amounts are USD; language changes do not convert currency.

Calculation and scope

One already-covered loss is assumed in the common term, with the same eligible loss amount for both quotes. Deductible share = min(loss, entered dollar deductible). Scenario total = entered term premium + deductible share. This is a limited cost illustration, not an insurer payment or claim decision; it excludes limits, sublimits, depreciation, coinsurance, exclusions, multiple claims and settlement terms.

Monthly equivalent = term premium ÷ term months, rounded to the nearest USD cent (half cents round up). Annualized equivalent = term premium × 12 ÷ term months; a 6-month price is assumed to repeat unchanged. These are budget references, not installment bills, renewal prices or a prediction of premium changes. Add known taxes and fees to the entered term total; financing and unknown fees are not modeled.

Auto prices vary by insurer, jurisdiction, vehicle, drivers, usage, history, limits, coverage and other underwriting details. This tool does not price liability, collision or comprehensive coverage, determine legal minimums, eligibility or actual cash value, or predict discounts. Use a dollar deductible applicable to the same already-covered collision or comprehensive loss; it is not a liability deductible or a combined deductible for multiple coverages.

Sources explain consumer insurance concepts; they do not supply a pricing formula or endorse these entered quotes. Applicability and actual costs require the insurer’s policy and written quote.
